Seeking Applicants for PDCRS Board of Directors
PDCRS provides supports and services to children and families, youth, adults and seniors throughout the South Okanagan and Similkameen. PDCRS is celebrating 50 years of community service.
We seek volunteers for a limited number of Board positions. This year, our search is focused on those with legal, policy development and/or advocacy and government relations expertise. The ideal candidate:
- is committed to the PDCRS mission and values
- is willing to provide six to eight hours a month of their time and talents
The PDCRS Board provides vision and strategic direction to over 20 diverse social and health programs in south Okanagan-Similkameen communities. Services include: childcare programs for children from birth to 12 years, including children with special needs (Little Triumphs and Tuc El Nuit childcare, Hand in Hand and Oliver High School infant/toddler care, and After School programs), a wide range of supports for youth and families (Integrated Family Development and Counselling services); Paper Shuffle and handyDART for adults with disabilities; and Better at Home for seniors. PDCRS also partners with other community organizations to provide housing and health services.
We welcome those from all parts of our community and particularly encourage people from our smaller communities, First Nations and rural areas to apply.
