I have been providing counselling services to individuals and families for almost 20 years. I take a collaborative approach to counselling with an emphasis on harnessing the unique healing and problem-solving capacities of my clients. In addition to providing services as a Counselling Psychologist, I am also an Associate Professor with the Graduate Centre for Applied Psychology at Athabasca University.

I support individuals, couples and families through a person-centered focus on solutions and systems. My approach to counselling is a collaborative and strength based journey that seeks to explore and ultimately harness each individual’s unique resources. I am also an educator where my role is to work with teams of professionals to promote inclusion and community for diverse learners. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors; I hold a Masters in Counselling and a Graduate Certificate in Special Education.

Tanya Behardien, MA, RCC (#2329)

I have been counselling individuals, couples and families for 25 years and have a strong commitment to lifelong learning and teaching. My passion is working collaboratively with clients and clinicians from all walks of life. I am available for counselling, supervision and group facilitation. I am an Associate Faculty Member at City University (Seattle) and the Executive Director at PDCRS.
