50 years of Building Community
PDCRS responds to community needs in over 15 townships in the South Okanagan.
Penticton & District Community Resources Society (PDCRS) is a registered not-for-profit agency that has been building strong communities with opportunities for all for almost 50 years. We have a rich history of responding to community needs, bringing together individuals, families and community groups to facilitate solutions, provide necessary resources and deliver programs that support our neighbours to live their lives with dignity and ease. We offer a continuum of care in 15 cities and townships throughout the South Okanagan/Similkameen.
From care for newborn babies to transportation for seniors, PDCRS programs are accessible to all residents in the region. We are proud to serve over 600 individuals and their families per day in the areas of:
- Childcare & Support Services – a continuum of childcare options for children birth to 12 years, including children and youth with special needs
- Community Living Services – programs for adults with a developmental disability
- Youth & Family Services – counseling and support for children, youth and their families
- Community Development Initiatives – services such as Harm Reduction, handyDART and Better at Home that respond to the needs of our communities
Community connections and partnerships are a cornerstone of PDCRS’s success. Partnerships are a valuable and inherent part of our long history. They are essential to providing quality service to children, families and adults throughout the Interior Region. Our community partnerships extend to organizations throughout the Interior and serve as an anchor to our commitment to delivering accessible services to all parts of the region.
